As one of many who've also suffered through such unhappy moments, you have my sympathy. Thanks for all your hard work on these polls. I'm looking forward to seeing how the second half of the season finished. I hope it fared better than the 3.57 average of the first half [I had the first half much higher, but dem's de breaks...]. Thanks again, George. Captain Average The Statistical Superhero...

And very interesting results. Looks like a pretty steady decline throughout the first half of the season, which is a bit surprising. Do you keep track of the number of people voting on each episode? Given the decline, I would expect that the overall number of votes would taper off while the overall ratings increase, reflecting the fact that dissatisfied viewers would be turning off the series and not voting.

I seem to remember vociferous howls of disgust at Unleashed last fall, while Life of the Party elicited mild murmurs of discontent at worst. I suppose Numero Cinco's lowish position in the ratings results from the polarization among viewers. It's the kind of episode one either adores or utterly hates, and the haters must have outnumbered the adorers. I still adore it, and although I might put some episodes from the second half of the season up beside it I don't think I'd put any on top of it. Clairel

YOU ROCK!!! Sorry about your computer set back. That sucks, I know. But thanks for getting around to this and posting it. This comes just in time for me. I'm rewatching the whole Buffy series right now. I have S1-6 on DVD, and am eagerly awaiting S7 (btw, does anyone have a date on when that's coming out??). Right now, I'm in the middle of S2. Unfortunately, I didn't start watching Buffy until the first ep of S5, which put me very behind the game. I depended GREATLY on the BtVS and Angel newsgroups to keep me informed. Now, as I'm watching these earlier episodes a lot of things are making sense (of course). I didn't watch Angel until its S5, which I know is a shame. Don't worry... I plan on getting those DVDs and catching up with it as well. All in good time. TV Girlie <-- I LOVE and MISS the Buffyverse. ======================= http://www.krjones.com/
