s p o i l e r s p a c e . . . . . Okay... what happened to Connor's family? Maybe it's just me, but I could swear that I remember Connor having a sister in his new family, and that his name was something other than Connor. Scott or some such. And no, I'm not getting confused with "Steven Holtz". Does anyone else remember that?

Some people somehow got the idea that someone had called Connor "Ben" during the quick scene we have of him eating dinner with his new family, but it never happened in the actual show. He did have a sister, but there is nothing in this episode to indicate that he doesn't still have one. No reason for them to bring her along when bringing Connor in to W&H. She could have been in school or off hanging with her friends. -- Don Sample, dsample@synapse.net Visit the Buffy Body Count at http://homepage.mac.com/dsample/ Quando omni flunkus moritati

I thought that Connor's "parents" consulted Wolfram & Hart partly because they thought someone had tried to deliberately run him down. In that case, they may well have decided that rather than accompany them to L.A., his sister would be safer staying with relatives. Were the two people that played Conner's parents in this episode the same two people in the "Home" episode?

Which is why avoid the phrase "fake" or "real". Altho, once again, JW and company have created a situation hard to replicate in real life. The closest to it if is a baby is swapped at birth so the parents think that the child is their biological offspring. However, they all have fake memories of Connor and Connor has fake memories of them. At the end of last season, I would be willing to say they were his "fake" parents and he their "fake" son. However in the intervening 9-10 months since, they have been Connor's parents and he their son. Altho I feel awkward with the phrase "adoptive" since it would seem to require choice on the parents part in "adopting" a child. -- Ken from Chicago

That the final instance was delayed in Buffy until her adolesence, is why we would consider the condition that produced Dawn "rare". ;)

Nope, didn't say any of those things. I said what I meant and meant what I said. Are you saying their lack of knowledge DOES make them his biological parents? If not, then we agree. -- Ken from Chicago P.S. Many biological parents aren't "parents" to their biological kids, while many adoptive or foster parents are. See? We even agree it takes more than the sharing of genetic material to be parents or a "family".

Right, but the clause in the original sentence, to me, is semantically from the perspective of his current parents. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well here or not. MZ
