Not really much of a spoiler but... This is a freeze frame moment. In the episode, Angel 4x16 "Players", Gwen and Gunn entered the japanese guy's house to "retrieve" Lisa. After Gwen left Gunn to scout around, there was a flash like scene cutting from Gunn to the Japanese Girl Lisa. In within that flash, there was a frame where one can see a male Caucasian guy holding one of those "scene marker" boards. Does anyone know who that was. I believe it was done on purpose, and not an editing blooper. :)

It's their job to mark the scenes with the slate (that's what the "marker" board is called), at the beginning (or in some cases) the end of each take. They also do an audio slate with it. They will stand in front of the camera with the slate...the clapper will be up showing the timecode readout (the bright read numbers) which is synched the sound mixer's recorder. They then say something to the effect of "Scene 12, take 3 - "A" camera mark" then they clap the board (the clap sound is what the editors traditionally use to synch the sound to the picture, by matching the clap to the point where the clapper hits the slate...the timecode is a more usefull tool for that now...but in case of an error the old method still works), and the timecode changes to the date. Then they step out and the scene is shot.
