Hello all; Nice group you have here. Decided to take a chance and subscribe once I found I could. My news server is notoriously unreliable about such things... I discovered Angel in early 2002 at the insistence of a friend. I've since watched every episode, but (like most Australians) am only up to the business end of S4. Now to the real point of this post, does anyone know if the DVD box sets (I own S1 & 2 so far) have the same special features all over the world? Region 4 versions often get short-changed when it comes to bonuses and I'd like to know what I'm missing. Yours in anticipation of much posting and lurking, Steve. PS: For those who really need to know, "Mr. Blackwell" is not a reference to the fashion review guy. It's the name of the main villain in "Music From The Elder" by KISS. The greatest album ever recorded by anyone ever :). -- "There are only two worlds- your world, which is the real world, and the other worlds, the fantasy. They do not exist; and thus they are all that matters. Do you understand?" (Neil Gaiman- The Books of Magic) Mr. Blackwell (AKA Stephen Lord) steve76@senet.com.au ICQ # 72370351

Be sure to read the FAQ and then post to your heart's content. Someone posted a link to a DVD feature comparison site not too long ago. Here is the link to season one: http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=1572 Here is the link to season two: http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=1911 Here is the link to season three: http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=3077 The USA is only up to season one, and season two will be released later this summer. The comparisons are for Region 2 (UK) and Region 4 (Oz). I hope this helps. -- Be seeing you, Growltiger

That's all they have made. ;-) Try my episode guide to catch up, I'm not complete, but I"m getting there: http://angel.fcpages.com/ > Now to the real point of this post, does anyone know if the DVD box sets (I > own S1 & 2 so far) have the same special features all over the world? In some countries they box a whole season, others box in into two half seasons (ep 1-11, and ep 12-22). I have the Australian season 2 DVDs here, and I notice they put a lot more languages and subtitles then we see here in the USA. The Buffy ones are a bit different though. Region 1 Season 1 left the "I Quit" music video off. Also, region 1 season 4 was fullscreen, where in all other regions it was widescreen, but the region 1 had an extra commentary track. See also languages, above. I've seen them with various languages, including English, French, Spanish and German. Subtitles in as many of 7 or 8 languages! -- Mathew Homepage - http://mathew.fcpages.com/ Angel web site - http://angel.fcpages.com/

Thanks lads. The Season 1 & 2 discs mentioned on that site are identical to the ones I've bought, so no problems there. I'll investigate Season 3 as soon as I can afford it. Growltiger, are you a fan of The Prisoner, or is the "Be Seeing You" thing just a coincidence? I probably shouldn't have asked that. Questions are a burden, after all. And answers a prison for oneself :). Steve.
