What did the Bringers plan on doing with those weapons when they ran into police with guns, or maybe Marines from Camp Pendleton? Stupid mission.

The Bringer didn't give them an inventory of what weapons they were gathering. It just told them they were gathering weapons. And it was meant to be a trap all along, so the actual weapons there didn't matter much, but they never got the opportunity to really think about that.
