I can never remember names anyway some spoiker space There was no reason for the spell to hang on Dawn until she reached that other girl and we don't know Bringers can automatically see Slayer Potentials. They may just have to track them. I bet both Dawn and Amanda are potentials. JLB

There's nothing really to say Dawn couldn't also be a potential and the Seeer was just confused by two in such close proximity. Still, given the ending scene with Dawn and Xander, I would think not. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- "There would be a lot more civility in this world if people didn't take that as an invitation to walk all over you" - (Calvin and Hobbes)

Amanda was going to Buffy's house for help, made it as far as the porch [the opposite side of the door Dawn was in front of] and got hit by the huge orange cloud. She said some snarky thing about Buffy being into drugs or whatever. Since it was a huge orange cloud and Amanda is such a skinny thing [my god, will someone feed that poor girl??!!??] the huge cloud had "overhang" which partially stayed on Dawn who was, like 4 inches away, through the door. As none of the Scoobs knew Amanda was on the other side of the door all glowy, they took the slight tummy glow on Dawn as "holy crap! Dawn's the potential" FYI Dawn

In case you missed it in one of the other threads (easy to do, this is going to be another thousand post day), that was explained. When Dawn ran into Amanda, Amanda told her she had been on her way to see Buffy. At the end, after the cavalry arrived, she told Buffy that she had reached the door of Casa Summers when a weird light came through it and made her glow. So the spell didn't hang on Dawn, it went right through her (leaving a temporary residue glow) to hit Amanda, who was just on the other side of the door at that time. One of those wacky coincidences that occur in a town on the Hellmouth. -- "Oh Buffy, you really do need to have every square inch of your ass kicked." - Willow Rosenberg
