This ng posting is designed to be read in conjunction with the (should be ) adjoining one The tv series ep one more or less follows the original English language movie, ASSASSIN, 1993, except for a few details TV NIKITA hadn't really killed anyone. (Just like 5 % of those in Yankee jails, she was innocent, and convicted of a death penalty case on the flimsyest of circumstantial evidence) MOVIE NINA (Maggie, back then) put a large calibre handgun upto a young policeofficer's head and blew his head apart, because, well it just seemed like a good idea at the time (she was, err, chimically enhanced at the time ) TV NIKITA on her last test/first assignment was told to killl the person at the restaurant table and take the contents of his briefcase, but she just gave him a bit of a hiding and took the stuff. I'm not sure but I think she might have got out of the restaurant without causing any fatalities, (not sure on this point) MOVIE NINA killed so many people in the restaurant that the coroner's office would've have to radio in for a bulk package of body-bags Check my other posting on this ng, but if anyone wants a copy of the movie ASSASSIN i am happy to supply -- EMAILS CONTAINING ATTACHMENTS WILL BE DELETED UN-READ Catherine Jemma Outback Western Australia xena@agn.net.au http://www.comswest.net.au/~xena "We try not to get killed. The movie described below, which starred Bridget Fonda and Gabriel Byrne, was even called 'Point of No Return' here in America. 'Assassin' was it's overseas title. It is actually a remake of the French film 'La Femme Nikita', which is where the TV series got it's title. thank you liz and scs for that info. It does get confusing when films are given different names in different countries. I can think of several examples straight off Thanks a, and when I'm offline I'll try to find it in my movie review books -- EMAILS CONTAINING ATTACHMENTS WILL BE DELETED UN-READ Catherine Jemma Outback Western Australia xena@agn.net.au http://www.comswest.net.au/~xena "We try not to get killed.
