I found it odd that Michael's entire plan consisted of one little bomb on a truck, with no back up plan. In the first two eps of the series, Michael is made out to be almost super human ... more clever than all of S1 put together ... yet he can't ruin one man's plans. Strange. I'm not sure where they're going with this. I could have done without all the scenes of druggies hanging around this guys house, though. Terri

I was wondering about the lack of a back-up plan as well. I finally came to the conclusion that he just didn't have enough planning time to pull things together. In most of the earlier episodes of this season, he seemed to have a bit more planning time to work things out. Jen -- **If you're falling, you might as well try **to fly. Since he's admitted that he can't live without Nikita, he's not at his 100% level. Maybe Maddie and Ops were right, Michael and Nikita cannot be together because it brings down their performance level. Daisy (who's unlurked...for the time being.)

I think that Michael is messing up because he is losing Nikita, not because he is involved with her. I remember one episode when Madeline was telling OPs that she suspected M&N were seeing each other (they were). Ops asked Madeline what their performance level was, and she replied that Michael's was perfect, and Nikita was down only slightly. And, if I recall correctly, Ops was going to let it slide. However, Madeline pushed the issue ('cause she is jealous of Nikita's "determination to live life fully"?) and Ops let her take action. Wadda ya think?
