That way you could bypass a section of the beam without interrupting = the signal at the detector assuming, of course, the following: =20 (1) That the detector was not sensitive to the exact light flux level, in which case inserting extra optics would have=20 changed this by several percent. =20 (2) That disruption of the beam for a millisecond or so would = not=20 set off the alarm. =20 (3) That the alignment of the deflector optics was so perfect that when it was inserted, the beam did not wander off its preset track. =20 :-) Steve =20 /Steve D. bridget was mentioning mistakes in sundays new episode. i thought it was so cool--nikita imploring michael for just one word of caring--his mind in turmoil to say so would threaten the task to get section out of the balckmail by jurgen which nikita was being used for--to not say anything would risk driving her farther away perhaps so far that she would never emotionally return and so he does a michael aptly described by nikita--long cold hard stare saying nothing. episode had us all over the pkace cognitivel and geographically. i enjoyed that. even cold madeline had enough compassion to leave michael alone while he was hearing nikita make love with jurgen "josefina" just in the nick of time! so now nikita can be passionate and be a stone cold killer. she is lied to , deceived, mislead, set up, used and confused and keeps coming back for more--but then again what other choice does she have? great episode. more new ones in ferbuary? i hope so! donald

>THAT IS IT! I'm now confident that all you folks are >> waaaaaaay to smart to watch LFN!!!! Those of you who know O I don't know <bg> I spent an good portion of the time giggling at the zipper on the wet suit that Michael wore it kept going up and down mysteriously all by its lonesome<g> And of course the dry wet suits when coming straight from the water was already touched on <g>. Or the micro dot on Nikita that survived the bathing process. Or the fact that the guy that started up the stairs was Michael but the one that ran up the stairs that was someone completely different.
