I was reading the lengthy thread about folks being angry about negativity in posting. I think that is a tad unfair. What first attracted me to this board was how scrupulously some people watched these episodes and pointed out minor flaws. Small details crack me up. I get a bit bored with the whiners who think they know how to make a better tv show than the people who actually do it...but it is human nature to behave in that manner. Anyone who has witnessed folks watching a sporting event who think they know more than the head coach understand this phenomenon. My point being: if they know so much, why aren't they being paid for their knowledge/wisdom/creativity/etc. All in all, I think if they are posting opinions to a board (even negative ones) they must still like the show. Why else would they still be watching? True LFN haters would grow tired of watching and certainly wouldn't waste time reading message boards about a show they don't watch. Case in point: I don't watch Pacific Blue. I think it is a totally ridiculous and lame show (MO). I don't watch it and I don't look for message boards about it. Those who don't care about LFN, don't watch it and don't look for anything having to do with it. What I like about the show is that in many episodes I am left wondering what the hell motivates some of these characters. Love and Country is a perfect example. I do not understand why Ops wanted his ex-wife's life destroyed. But I never really expected the writers to wrap the answer up in a neat package. They haven't in many other cases. That is why so many of us wonder if Michael actually cares for Nikita or only does what Section orders him to do. When we suspect that his feelings are genuine, the writers throw a twist into the story that makes us wonder once again. Perhaps in a future episode it will be revealed WHY Ops went after his ex-wife and her husband so ruthlessly. The fact that HE IS RUTHLESS may be the only answer. I much prefer Ops to be the character I most fear or hate or whatever. I am much happier with Love and Country for that reason than some of the other episodes where Operations was moony-moony over Madeline. I thought he looked a bit wimpy and I feared him less. But now, Ops is back to his old tricks... What I can't wait to see is some sort of flashback scenes with Madeline sleeping with every young stud in Section the way Adrian announced. We always suspected that. Now let's see it!!! Especially a Maddy/Michael pairing. Well, I've droned on for long enough. Back to lurking I go.... -----------== Posted via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==---------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Discuss, or Start Your Own

Wonder if Ops wanted his ex taken out so badly because 1. She dumped him while he was a POW. 2. Since she was in intelligence herself, she knew more than he thought "good." 3. If he couldn't have her, nobody should. Just some musings of Sunny >What I like about the show is that in many episodes I am left wondering what >the hell motivates some of these characters. You make a good point. I just disliked the negativity and was disheartened by it because so many people kept saying that they were thinking that LFN wasn't going to be worth watching and they wouldn't watch any more. I still like the show too and didn't want it to be cancelled because of viewer dislike or from lack of viewer interest! stewhead@stratos.net wrote: > > I was reading the lengthy thread about folks being angry about negativity in > posting.
