Hi! Thought I'd come out of lurk mode and post my reactions and random observations of the episode. Michael/Roy has REALLY big feet. They showed his feet/shoes twice and I thought, "Wonder if any of the Royettes have noticed...?" You know what they say about feet and hands.... :) I really admire how subtle this show can be, and how good the actors are. When M says to N "That was a mistake.." the morning after, N pulls her robe about herself protectively. It wasn't too obvious and I liked that. Oh, the stab in the heart! And then he clarifies by saying something about the psychic stuff. I'm not sure M was talking about the sex... After all, Maddy was the one who said it needed to be done and I'm sure Mikey knew that. But then again... someone said it may have been that it has re-opened M and N's feeling after they seem to have finally gotten back to a "normal" working relationship. Ah, the questions, the doubts! TPTB are definately making a concerted effort to humanize Ops and Maddy. That little scene at the end, eating breakfast and talking about their day/week... very reminiscent of M&N's playing house. Of course, playing house in the way only Ops and Maddy could, Section style. How many of you stopped breathing during the opening scene when Nikita told Michael she loved him (with her back to him so he couldn't see her face!)? So many layers of deception that the lies are the truth? And all that touching! Hands on face and hair... It was making my toes curl! I was definately happy with this episode. I got a little bit of the "proof" I needed about M&N, but enough doubt that I am still interested in what the heck is gonna happen. WHAT doesn't N know about him?! Maddy lovers got more info. Birky lovers got to watch him be caring about Maddy. Ops is getting more realistic and more interesting - and even a bit scarier, if Ops is gonna get emotional on us, there's no telling what he might do (like Mandatory Refusal)! Well, back to watch it again in the hopes of picking up some more subtlties! Leila

I say it's CGI enhancement. hehehe > > I really admire how subtle this show can be, and how good the actors > are. I really liked how soulful his eyes looked in that 'morning after' scene. Frankly, I'm bored with the whole Ops/Maddy thing; that breakfast scene was appropriately creepy, however - seeing them discuss a child's fate the way my husband & I discuss our plans for vacation. > How many of you stopped breathing during the opening scene when Nikita > told Michael she loved him (with her back to him so he couldn't see her > face!)? Didn't fool me for a second, since I'm too jaded by the deception this show is notorious for inflicting on its characters, as well as we, the audience. > Well, back to watch it again in the hopes of picking up some more > subtleties! > > Leila > That's the main appeal of LFN... keeps you guessing. :-D Natalie -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Now offering spam-free web-based newsreading

I watched PP three days ago, and I still can't get over seeing Michael (called "Old Stone Face" in our house) actually smile at the breakfast table, just before they're kidnapped! He smiled!!!! My husband (who I force at gunpoint to watch the show once in a while) even said "Holy s---!" when Roy smiled. Let's face it - that's something we're not used to seeing; personally, I've only caught a bit of last season, and this is absolutely the first time I've see Roy's teeth. I was less surprised seeing his bare butt in the first ep of this season. The guy actually has teeth! I was starting to wonder. Man, does he look different witha smile on his face. I have a feeling that the reason they never let Roy smile in the show is because he looks pretty sweet and innocent with a smile on his face. When I first started watching the show and I saw Roy, I thought "Hmmm, kind of a funny looking, homely actor - I can't picture this guy as a romantic lead", but after watching for a few months, I must confess I'm starting to see his appeal (I think it's something on a hormonal level). I'm not quite a Royette yet, but I see how he could sneak up on you and the next thing you know, you're rewinding your tape repeatedly to catch an expression on his face (sigh). Yup, removes the menace of the character, doesn't it? > > When I first started watching the show and I saw Roy, I thought "Hmmm, > kind of a funny looking, homely actor - I can't picture this guy as a > romantic lead", but after watching for a few months, I must confess > I'm starting to see his appeal (I think it's something on a hormonal > level). It doesn't matter how good or bad looking an actor is; if they have a commanding presence, they have it made. Dupuis has 'it' whatever 'it' is. BTW, I don't have the hots for him either. :-D Natalie, fellow non-Royette -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Now offering spam-free web-based newsreading
