I just checked that People poll, and Dupuis is in second place behind some Maggart (maggot) guy. I'm still hoping People takes notice of our enthusiasm for RD and does a decent story on him. He certainly deserves it much more than some of the mannequins I see being promoted in that rag. Talent should win out. We can only hope. Natalie, fingers crossed

For anyone who may want to know, this is the top ten as of Sunday morning, 10 AM, Arizona time: 1. Garett Maggart - >> who in the heck is this??? 2. Roy Dupuis 3. Ingo Rademacher - >> Jax on 'General Hospital' 4. Leonardo Dicaprio ->> the teen vote... 5. Gillian Anderson 6. Sarah Michelle Gellar 7. Tyler Christopher - >> Nicholas on 'General Hospital' 8. David Duchovny 9. Maurice Benard ->> formerly Sonny on 'General Hospital' A wonderful actor, MUCH more talented than Ingo, hopefully will go far outside of soaps 10. Peta Wilson ->> It's REALLY CLOSE!!! The last group is really really close, so votes really do count! And that Maggart guy isn't way out ahead, so Roy has a chance :) Gregoria "I shall go forth. However, this is not to say that you couldn't go vote on the puters at your friendly local school or library...not that I would do such a thing of course <g> Cathy

>I think it can pick it up by computer I.D., Well, I know a coupla things about AOL, so here goes: AOL uses one copy of Internet Explorer (how you get to web sites in the first place). Most sites that only want you to vote once will add a small program to IE (or Netscape) called a cookie. Even if the people site doesn't use cookies, it will be able to tell that the same Internet Explorer (or as Cathy mentioned) I.P. Address. So, no matter how screen names you have, you'd get the other votes weeded out by People. Its too bad , though. I just know that 4' tall schmuck Leonardo DiCaprio is going to win, while someone with real acting talent (Roy) is going to lose out because of the current Leo fad. Pat D.

>9. Maurice Benard ->> formerly Sonny on 'General Hospital' A > wonderful actor, MUCH more talented than Ingo, hopefully will go far outside of soaps<BR> Were we separated at birth? <g> Let me just say that you have phenomenal taste in actors. My fantasy is Maurice showing up on LFN...can't you just see him playing some stone-faced operative trying to hide that he has any emotions at all? *whew*. Maurice and Roy...now there's a combo that would set my screen on fire. As for Ingo, he could play a guest part as long as he got cancelled in the end. <eg> Cathy

Question....Is it only one vote per person or per screen name? (I've got 5 SNs to play with over here...but I don't want to negate the vote I already gave him)

I think we MUST have been separated 'cause ITA!! Having maurice on LFN would rock - he is a great actor, and cute to boot. The fantasy would be complete if Steve Burton showed up as well (who I believe is following in MB's footsteps). Life would be PERFECT if Ingo was cancelled at the end too. Wow, what a thought. Roy, Maurice and Steve, all in Section One. Gregoria "I shall go forth. I definitely wouldn't ask People Online that question though. Gregoria "I shall go forth. When you don't know who someone is and want to find out, the easiest way I know of is to go to http://us.imdb.com/search and search the Internet Movie Data Base. As well as movies, the IMDB also has information on TV shows and you can do searches for specific actors/actresses and even show/movie character names. Plugging Garett's name into the actor box and doing a search gave me the information that he plays the part of Blair Sandburg in "The Sentinel" - and that he's the half-brother of singer Fiona Apple ("Criminal"). -- ********************************************************************* * Rick Fidonet - 1:342/5.9 Internet - rtruell@v-wave.com * *********************************************************************
