There's a Science Fiction short story series featuring a "Prime Operative" -- an operative who has cover memories implanted onto his noggin. [Was it Niven??] With a little surgery, he's all set to step into someone's shoes. As you might expect, his own personality takes quite a bit of abuse in the progress. I wonder if Larry has read it............ -- A host is a host from coast to coast.................wb8foz@nrk.com & no one will talk to a host that's close...........(v)301 56 LINUX Unless the host (that isn't close).........................pob 1433 is busy, hung or dead........vr vr vr vr.................20915-1433

Apropos of other influences on NwM, did nobody else notice the similarity between the radio announcer in "Dark Side of the Moon" and LaCroix as the Nightcrawler in "Forever Knight"? Given that the announcer in DSotM seemed to be making comments relevant to what TV was experiencing at any given moment (as LaCroix does with Nick), and that THEY seem not to have "designed" this particular adventure, I believe that there is a strong implication that THEY have at least some access to TV's thoughts and feelings, at least on a "read-only" basis (as LaCroix does with Nick). Since this was one of the first thirteen episodes done (ie before United Pinheads and Numbskulls really got their hooks into the show), this is one of those "questions" that I hope to see an answer to from Larry (at the appropriate time, of course). ---------------------------------------------------------------- Stan Walker stan@esinet1.esinet.net (preferred) walkerstan@aol.com (if you must) ----------------------------------------------------------------
