Just thought I'd spark some conversation in this currently dull newsgroup. I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I want to know some of your favorite episodes. Larry, if you're reading, I'd like to know yours as well. Me, personally, if I had to pick one episode, I'd pick "An Enemy Within". True, that was a very slow episode with almost no plot development. However, it had excellent character development and it kept that similiar eerie tone with all this "THEM" and "THEY" stuff. I just liked it because it was quiet, lighter than some other episodes, and we got so much closer to Tom in that episode. Well, of course Maria Bello (Mr & Mrs Smith) was a great treat, no doubt. She's one of the best actresses I know! Please spill your thoughts on your favorite episode or episodes and comment on mine if you like. But I never got a > reply. > > > P-t-K > My favorite episode besides the pilot, is the "Father" episode. I liked the intense exploration of paranoia in this episode. It was really spooky- all those different camera angles, like the fisheye lens effect. This one had me on the edge of my seat. It was like having a front row seat to someone's really bizarre hallucination. Actually, throughout the whole series, I wondered if what we were watching was a hallucination that Tom was having, that he was trapped in somehow. I wondered if maybe at the end of the series (which I didn't want to see happen until after at least five seasons) we would find out that Tom was really somewhere else, like still in Calaway for instance, or someplace even weirder, and having this hallucination. He would "wake up" and find out where he really was. I think I'll write some fanfic about this. Philly, and everyone, don't stop writing to the network executives just because you didn't get a response from your previous letter. A writing campaign is like a war. Don't give up until we win this war. Pardon my cynicism, but I am beginning to get the feeling that the show will not be coming back. That said...it is killing me not knowing the rest of the story. Is anyone aware of plans to publish a book(s) or scripts of the show (produced or not). > Philly the Kid <email@example.com> wrote in article > <firstname.lastname@example.org>... > > THere were so many good eps - it truly is a sin they bagged this thing so > > quick. No. But, it has recently been named in some sort of BEST SHOW OF THE YEAR category in Time magazine and USA Today. It's not dead in the minds of the fans and I doubt it is in the minds of the suits. That only damages the credibility of our cause. There's a lot of that there already, and it's not helping. Thank you. Dan (DQuixotic@aol.com)
