Alright, how many people who post here actually would like to start placing bets that ABC will decide to run Nowhere Man in the fall? I don't know I just think Larry H kind of gave up a wee bit early.. On the UPN Nowhere Man homepage he was not very optimistic when the cancellation was announced.. I however believe that everyone who has posted here and continues to post and write to other SAVE NWM places is contributing a great deal to ABC possibly picking up the program.. I hope Larry & Disney can work together to find NWM a new home. If not with ABC than at least somewhere... I am however confident that ABC will make the right choice!!!! Thanks :) SAVE NOWHERE MAN!!!!

I'll take that bet. A large netwrok like ABC would have to be nuts to take on a show like "Nowhere Man" which was such a ratings dog.

A ratings dog, ya say? Maybe CBS will make a grab. ^_^

EVERY show on UPN and WB (with the possible exception of Voyager) is a ratings dog. While you could be right, I think it would be more correct to suggest that these low ratings are a direct effect of the fact that no one watches these 2 networks. When you're dealing with aspiring networks such as these, the answers as to why these shows are or aren't renewed can't be quite as simple as "low ratings". They ALL get low ratings. It seems to me that almost any show on a major network, no matter how bad, would get higher ratings than the highest rated show on UPN or WB. It's somewhat silly to assume that ABC would be unable to find a time slot where NwM get ratings 3 times as high as it got in its best showing at UPN. For example, just for an example, imagine NwM "hammocked" between Friends/Seinfeld and ER. Don't tell me that there'd be a 17 (for Friends) followed by a 18 (for Seinfeld) followed by a 2 (for NwM) followed by a 22 (for ER). Obviously, that example is an exaggeration, but I did it to make a point: NwM would clearly not get the abysmal ratings it got with UPN if it went to any of the major networks. In fact, if they found the right spot for it, it might even flourish... ChargerFan chrgrfan@aol.com
