Larry, Sorry I missed your conference, but I went on vacation before the date was set, and came back after it took place. If you don't mind, I would appreciate it if you could answer a question that I've had for awhile. Was "It's not such a Wonderful Life" originally written as the end of the series, and then moderately changed (the ending, for instance) when the show was given the full season extension? Thanks for listening. ChargerFan (Paul Gottschlich) chrgrfan@aol.com

Thanks for listening. Paul, This has been speculated and discussed before. No. INSAWL was conceived to be exactly what it was. It really hit two major notes for me -- first, it was Tom's Christmas present from "Them." It was a Christmas present in the meanest, most manipulative sense. But it was also a little bit of an "inside joke" for me. It was my Christmas present to everyone who had been hammering on my door, looking for ANSWERS -- some demanding them. So there you go -- my response -- (sort of a "you see how far answers get you" kinda thing). As Eddie said, "everything they give you they can take away." Tom seemed to need to be re-impressed with that. So did some of my friends ;-) Coming as it did, close to the end of the firt twelve eps (when we might or might not have been picked up) it's logical to guess that it once served as a series ender. Nah. That'd imply that I was interested in ending it. Larry

Larry has even said it was a bit of an inside joke for all the clue-heads. :-) Larry, I hope you don't mind my jumping in. :-) Sandra
