>From what I can piece together, at the end of an episode, a teacher (Ron >Rifkin?) and his students discover an alien artifact in a cave. The >sequel finds them(?) on an alien spacecraft where some disappear at >times. They end up on a planet (Earth?). The first ep is called DOUBLE HELIX; it's a very good episode, very much in the mold of the original series. The sequel is called THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES, and for my money, it's one of those abominable misfires that not only reeks in itself, but reaches back to discolour your enjoyment of the original ep. But it's still a new episode for me and there are only 5-6 I haven't seen. Best. Mike.

Your mileage may vary. There's only one ep I havent seen...Time to Time, the third sequel to the superlative Tribunal.
