Can someone with a superior knowledge of the new shows and how it came into being please explain to me how it is that Joseph Stephano and Leslie Stevens never had control over them? I know that MGM owned a portion of the show but still...... I was never impressed with the new show enough to read about it. I did see some excellent episodes but I liken that to the old truism that if you do something often enough you're bound to do it well at least once. I'd like to see a list from some of you OL aficionados of the truly great or good new series episodes. I've seen too many bad ones to play hit-and-miss watching it in the hopes of finding the good ones. Also, why is it going to end? Is it because of bad ratings or is the production crew all burned-out? If JS and LS never had control of the new show like they did the old why then can't the show be given over to JS to do with as he pleases? If the current producers of the show have run out of ideas, let JS take control. He can do with it, finally, what he probably wanted to do with it to begin with. Timothy S. I know that MGM owned a >portion of the show but still...... They spoke with Pen Densham of Trilogy and were quite happy to leave it in his hands. Stefano was chief consultant on the series; no script aired that he didn't see, and he made suggestions on many, though they weren't always followed. Leslie Stevens didn't get on board till season 2, I believe, but he was in from that point till his death. >I'd like to see a list from some of you OL >aficionados of the truly great or good new series episodes.
