Has anyone seen the outer limits episode, where a spaceship crashlands on this planet, and the main guy gets bitten by this spider thingy and he slips from one reality to another. And it turns out in the end that the spider has built a cocoon around of him and both worlds the main character viewed are not real. The reason I'm mentioning this is that I'm wondering if anyone else noticed the Matrix element when the main person assumed that the reality where everything was perfect was the imagined halucinatory one as there's no such thing as a perfect world, so he assumed that the delightful one was reality?

However, that idea has been around at least as long as Bishop Berkeley, who questioned the nature of "reality" by asking "If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a sound?"
