Two fairly good episodes I thought. I just read what someone said about Monster being derivative.... and yes, much is pretty obvious, but still, it was an enjoyable episode, and the ending was well handled I thought. Having him challenge his fears instead of merely shooting himself was a great touch! As for Lithia, it was a nice little fable, sure to get the goat of many a man...so sue me! I liked it! The shock ending was somewhat predictable, but the extra twist of the guy being the old lady's love from the past was just the acerbic bittersweet touch to nail in the coffin. It was also ironic to see how the elite rulers were actually ripping off the smaller communes, and getting away with it, and allowing it to happen without even seeing it as an injustice done them, and when the man pointed it out, they got pissed at him! What a nice touch! Twsited, but nice.

Yes, but Dr. Morbius did the same thing in FORBIDDEN PLANET, the granddaddy of all Monster From The Id stories on film. It was still a well-done, well-performed ep, but I didn't feel like it did enough with the ancient plot to really be a top-flight OL. >As for Lithia, it was a nice little fable, sure to get the goat of many a >man...so sue me! I liked it! So did I, regardless of gratuitous Lesbian Love Scenes. I wouldn't have believed anyone could breathe new life into the hoary Man-On-Planet-Of-Women plot, but LITHIA did a good job of doing just that.
