By my reckoning 'Tribunal' was actually the 99th episode, but aside from that it was a solid episode and the third best of the season so far, withn 'The Shroud' and 'Human Operators' ahead by a full canter. 'Ripper' isn't even worth mentioning. I wonder why it even got made as an episode? Of course the same would have to be said for 'Alien Radio', 'Donor' and 'Black Box' , the latter which is tecnically from the 4th season. I'm curious to see what they do with a remake of 'The Inheritors'....and the upcoming 'Summit'....whatever that is, is technically the 100th show, and I suppose won't be very good. Still, the 5th season has 3 great episodes under its belt, and there WILL be a 6th season....horray! Let's hope we get some quality stories instead of crap like 'Ripper' and the aforementioned 'Alien Radio'.....Happy 100th episode New Outer Limits!

>By my reckoning 'Tribunal' was actually the 99th episode "Sandkings" is a two-parter, at least in syndication. Stories, yes, "Tribunal" is #99, but in number of episodes, #100. I have 50 vhs tapes looking me in the face to prove this... >it was a solid episode and the third best of the season so far, withn 'The >Shroud' and 'Human Operators' ahead by a full canter. I would count "Tribunal" above "Human Operators" but below "The Shroud", though if asked I would call all four of them 4-star eps. "Tribunal's" time travel complexities are very well thought out, maybe the best time travel story of the series. For there is nothing that happened that actually hadn't already happened, as you can see by watching the father's memories of the day they took his daughter away to be gassed... The Traveller says he must convince the Tribunal to leave the time stream the way it is, but even he doesn't realize what the viewer should see: that all their tinkering with time has been accounted for, there is no thread left hanging.Very fine, very subtle work by Sam Egan, who is definitely an OL writer to watch. His "Second Thoughts" is one of the best eps ever (another one directed by the great Mario Azzopardi, too). >...and the >upcoming >'Summit'....whatever that is, is technically the 100th show, and I suppose >won't be very good I think it has the potential to be another great ep, actually, but we'll see where it goes.
