Earth was to be a penal zone for the aliens, but things went awry. The weird thing about the "bug-alens" wasn't so much the _size of their eyes_ as the _humanness of their heads_ (some of 'em even sported beards!). There is an episode ("The Mutant") in which a human character develops enormous eyes. >Did the original "Nightmare" have the apocalyptic ending that the >remake did? SPOILERS BELOW There are several differences. No, the revelation of what is going on, along with a death, is all that happens. No apocalypse. We get to see the Ebonites in the original; I expected them to be unseen in the remake, and I was not disappointed. Many oldtime fans were annoyed by the remake; I thought it was as solid as the original, though not surpassing it. I always dreaded the idea of the original episodes of TOL being re-made until I saw an original episode (A Feasibility Study) re-made into one of THE best episodes of the new series. It was the one that best resembled the original series. I thought that it might be interesting to see episodes of the original series that were really bad re-done, why mess with something that worked well? That would include most of the second season and a couple of the first season. The episode that you were talking about is called, "The Zanti Misfits". It was about a planet that, instead of jailing or executing it's criminals, deposited them on other planets. The original series airs on TNT early in the mornings of the weekend.

Come Visit My Web Page

>I thought that it might be interesting to see episodes of the original >series that were really bad re-done I wanted to see Jerry Sohl's COUNTERWEIGHT redone, faithful to the original, without the monster, without the "test" --- that was a great story in its original form and OL did NOT do it justice at all. But since the series will soon be gone again, that isn't going to happen. 2000-08-13 00:00:00 - old Outer Limits Episodes on TNT - (Bruce Goldman <btg@mailroom.com>)

Although it is very sporadic, TNT shows 2-5 old Outer Limit episodes each week. Usually at 4 or 5 AM. Check an internet TV guide or TNT's web site and search Outer Limits. Throw a tape in your VCR and program your machine. For example on Aug. 25 at 5 AM they are showing the original outer limits "Tourist Attraction" Bruce

I believe it was the most expensive episode, too. "...things are not healthy in our criteria for nobility and decency. Things are not right in that area. "Tourist Attraction" is generally not too well regarded. What do you make of it? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
