To: kilinsky@cobweb.net From: TNT@turner.com Sorry, but OUTER LIMITS and NEW TWILIGHT ZONE came off the air as of Friday, August 29. This summer's showing of all 49 OL episodes and almost all 123 eps of NTZ was always considered a summer stunt that would end with the September 2 start date of two other series new to TNT, LONESOME DOVE and LOIS AND CLARK. Again, sorry, but we had to make room! I'm sure we will find a place for both shows in 1998, either in the form of 6-8 hour series marathons, or in the form of a weekly or possibly daily (and similarly limited) time slot. Hope you enjoyed our run of these two terrific series! Thanks for watching and writing! To: kilinsky@cobweb.net From: TNT@turner.com David, it's true--black-and-white programming bombs on TNT. OUTER LIMITS, as we knew full well going in to the run, was no exception to this. It averaged a 0.4 rating, which is about 290,000 people watching out of a potential 70 million. Not very good. That is, indeed, why we normally program it in the wee hours of the morning. We're out of the colorization business, so that's no solution (besides, you wouldn't wanna do that to the series--it would ruin it completely!). You'll just have to wait for the next marathon...that's all I can say. But thanks for tuning in and for writing...
