That's right. That's about how good it is. Something to be flushed. I will not even waste my time watching the show tonight. And did you read Kari's interview? She thinks the show is going in the right direction, maybe this is proof silicon does affect other parts of the body. But what can you expect from somebody that sold out a long time ago just to get a part. Of course isn't that what it's all about? What ever it takes for money? And they can't even think of an original script! They call themselves writers? The people on this newsgroup could write better. My dog could write better. Fifty monkeys writing for 15 minutes could write better. But why do we care? Why do we get upset? Because we saw potential, something better than the typical hollywood drivel. We liked sliding with a group of friends. We liked when they all were in it together, not this latest fad of fight each other all the time. And yes MAGGIE, we would like you to lose the attitude. We know you are just a brainwashed pawn that thinks everybody in the world wants to watch conflicts, (like on 90210 or whatever the hell it is called, and other such sleazy shows), but they don't. People liked the first episodes, they liked the comraderie (how do you spell that anyway), and I bet, most people didn't like those parts of the early shows where the characters fought among themselves. There is enough fighting with the new worlds, and it used to be we could be there with them, as a group. But now who wants to be in that group? Not me. This show could have been hugh. It could have been bigger than Star Trek the original. Ten years from now we would have been watching Sunday marathons of Sliders instead on Star Trek. But, thanks to people that are more interested in a cheap thrill instead of a cool ride, we have crap. What could have been will never be. My three cents worth

How did she do that? Play Lollapalooza? Sign to a major label? Give me a break. That reference revealed mysecretoo to be a checkerhead. Kari started her career on "Remote Control," the old MTV game show. Sounds like mysecretoo was a big fan, if he thinks Sliders is a sell-out compared to that old dinosaur. > And they can't even think of an original script! They call themselves > writers? If you and your buddies are so good, I'll expect you to make an announce about a production deal very soon. But until then, I'm just gonna consider you another bitter checker-head wannabe. By the way, if you don't agree with my opinions, just write me off as "a big sell-out, man"

I guess it is because you have to be sexually aroused to think a show is good. Yea, I guess Fox is targeting people like you. Well, I'm soooooo sorry that I offended you. I'm sure that I'm wrong and that running around in sleazy outfits took years of work to perfect. Why, that is what acting is all about. I've been wrong all my life. I thought good story lines, maybe characters that stay true to their character and become believable was what made a good show but I guess I'm wrong. And no, I was not a fan of MTV's remote control. I never have watched that show. Don't you get it. She never got a job because of her superior acting ability. She always made it because somebody in casting just wanted another body. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind nice looking women, I married one. But what I HATE is the fact that Holywood (not misspelled) thinks we all have to have an erection to enjoy a show. And I am sorry to say that there are so many people like that out there. I think Sliders has sold out. Notice I said Kari "Sold out a long time ago." But like so few others, you overlooked the thrust of my post. Sliders SUCKS now. It is like watching Baywatch slide only we don't have a beach. Don't get me wrong, Kari is NOT the reason it sucks. It just went the way of the other crap out there, so they naturally are going to pick up people that are cast in those other shows. And frankly, I don't know how good somebody could act in the role she is cast in. It's that mentality out there, that we need sex, sex, sex on the screen, that people sell out to. That's all. I'm sick of it. I just wanted a good show. Not a show that tried to depend on the breasts of women to carry it. And as far as my buddies writing, I start those monkeys as soon as I can, but Fox probably won't buy it because it will be to good.

Agreed. Traci Torme and John Landis did a great job in the first season, but the show went down hill since they left the creative efforts to people that think "adaptation" of hit movies is the way to go. Whew! Long sentence.
