I've been lurking in this newsgroup for quite some time, and all I ever read is what's wrong with each episode. I was under the impression that this was a newsgroup for fans of the show, but still all I ever see is "spoilers". This is a fictional tv show, it's not suppose to be "Politically Correct" or whatever, it's entertainment, and how can you enjoy something when all you are looking for is what is wrong with it. I'm not saying that nothings wrong with some parts of the show, or that it always makes sense, but I wish everyone would just lighten up and try to enjoy the show. P.S. Anybody hear of a possible film for Sliders?? ----- /E-mail jcaffery@wizvax.net\ //Dance to Trance--Trance to Enhance--Enhance to Advance\\ "There's no other reality but our own, the seconds tick and tick.." -Air Liquide -----

If we weren't big fans of the show we wouldn't take the time to critisize it.

Yes, yes, yes, this is one vote from a guy who loves "Sliders." It's an awesome show that I've enjoyed since the very first episode. So here's a thumbs-up. I'm sorry to say that the nay-sayers tend to drown out the more positive readers of this group, but it's easier to trash something than to admit you enjoy it and face attack. Is "Sliders" a perfect show? No, it isn't, but what TV show is? Is "Sliders" well-written? At times, extremely so, but other times, it's writing is poor. But this is a fault of almost every show on television. I tend to focus on the good shows, which have been very good, than the bad ones, but others choose to do the reverse. It's their right. But I can say that I can only think of three shows "Sliders" has done that I've hated from beginning to end. Some of the time, the episodes are medicore, but there's always something to enjoy in them. And the rest of the time, "Sliders" is great fun.

I love it. I think it's very enjoyable and way better than most of the shows that rate well in Oz. I want them to screen it again soon.

Explain how to enjoy a story told with no internal consistency or coherent logic, a TV series where the characters change personalities and speech patterns from week to week, and plotlines which are unimaginative retreads of movies that happened to be in current release when the relevant episode of the TV series was made..... I *AM* a fan of "SLIDERS," at least of what "SLIDERS" could, and *should*, have been; but the vast majority of the episodes are pretty feeble, and some are downright insulting. > P.S. Anybody hear of a possible film for Sliders?? Sure. Pilot was a "two-hour TV-movie." (i.e. about 90 minutes of film.) 22 March, 1995. And for reasons too subtle to go into, here, I can also recommend the movie "DOORWAYS," first shown in fall 1992, with "final cut" in spring of 1993.

The concept is cool, but the show sucks! and, yet, for some reason I record it every week. I have 'em all on tape, yet think that it is one of the worst shows that I have ever watched. I will probably welcome the inevitable cancellation.
