So, "Sliders" starts up new eps in June rather than January. Now, is it just me, or does anyone else think that the Skiffy Channel has blown quite an opportunity for themselves here, what with Jerry appearing in "Scream 2", which will undoubtedly still be in theatres in January, but may be a dim memory by June? I mean, I've not heard much in the way of buzz regarding the flick, but still, I'm sure the first coupla weeks at least will have healthy box office. <*shrug*> AnnieM "I AM standing up!" -- DJ

This is a fabulous marketing opportunity for The Skiffy Channel, and it looks as if they've blown it. Are their marketing droids on vacation? Or are they all too busy using their 30 minutes of free Psychotic Network phone calls? Regards, Podkayne Fries == "NOBODY expects the SPAMMISH INQUISITION!" - James Cooley

In fact, eps *would* be airing in January if not for Scream 2 and Jerry's commitment to plugging it(and the fact that he wants to take a week of in January to host Later again--after 6 weeks of Cindy Crawford hosting, it would be a welcome relief!). But anyway, I think the delay has more to do with the fact that USA aquired another network, and they're going to be turning the Home Shopping Network from a shopping channel into sort of a catch all--with news, weather, and original programming(ones found only on USA or the Sci-Fi channel) to the lineup) So since Sliders is one of two original series that the Sci-Fi channel will be producing(I believe they picked up Mission Genesis), I'd imagine they'll be showing it on those new stations as well. So the delay is probably really more a result of USA Networks trying to get all it's new stations coordinated and get all their ducks in a row. Shannen
