I'm new to this group so I'm certain that this question has been addressed, nevertheless... What are the names mentioned in the 'Einstein-something-something Bridge'? I just checked out the mca sliders home page and found bupkus. thanks! -- = mjh@tor.hookup.net =A4 Mark J. Hayman =A4 http://www.hookup.net/~mjh=

I think the whole name is Einstein Rosen Podolsky Bridge, and it is a real theory [i.e., the producers didn't just make up three names]. I don't have any books about the topic, but apparently it lays down the basis for black holes and parallel universes. I am no theoretical physicist, and I'm sure there are a million things that the Sliders quartet has done that are in violation of the actual theory... George M. Einstein-Rosen-Podolsky bridge in the show. Something resembling the sliders' wormhole is described in "Hyperspace" by Michiku Kaku (sp?) as the Einstein-Rosen bridge. I think Podolsky was at the Institue for advanced studies at Princeton with Einstein and Rosen. There is a consequence of quantum mechanical theory (unrelated to wormholes) called the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox.
