"Those who give thought to what they are going to say and how it should be said have little to fear from me, regardless of how I might disagree with what they do say. Utterances given without thought will bring down criticism and helpful suggestions. Life is too short to waste on the stupid and willfully ignorant." I have received a few e-mail messages of support and seen a few posts that seem to indicate the same. No fear - I am not going to be chased off because it appears that someone takes offense to posts previously made from my other account. Oh, I will change the feel of any posts which I might make in followup to that .. <mutter> *person's* posts. Direct sarcasm might be a little too heavy for that *person's* palate; no fear - I can do subtlety. It will take some practice but I can manage it (I think). Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know. This newsgroup is for the discussion of the TV show SLIDERS and not a showcase for my own self-imagined talents. No problem. For the most part, I will confine my posts on that area from my other account. But when stupidity, willful ignorance, and just plain wrong-headedness appear, well, hee-hee-hee!! By the way, to the person who made the post about my other ISP being run by morons, I beg to differ. They are located in a state where there is a law that affects them in this matter. They are covering their interests in this area and I cast no blame on them whatsoever. Indeed, I would have scorn and disregard for them if they had acted differently In this matter. They not only have themselves to consider but their other users as well. I believe they responded appropriately to the matter as it was presented to them. Note that I am NOT accusing the *person* who did the complaining of lying or willfully misrepresentation. But that *person* complained that I was harassing him/her/it and did not make mention that he/she/it had to actively seek out said harassment. Okay, a quick two final comments: 1. I gave that *person* an unsavory nickname. I retract it. Oh, don't get me wrong. I just feel that such an appellation is far too strong and forceful to rep- resent the nature of that *person's* character. Maybe Skippy the Wonder Yap-Dog?? 2. That *person* (you know who you are) recently made a blank post to this newsgroup. This is, to me, the most intelligent post you have made to date and the first time that I have agreed with you. Unless I missed a post I think I am the person to whom you refer (about morons and ISP). I did not call your ISP runners morons I said: Frankly if the morons in the legislature of the Peoples' Republic of Oregon are unable to remember what country Oregon is a part of the voters ought to throw the bums out at the next election or right now. In other words your ISP people are not morons your electer officials are. Although that may be reduandant. And while I am at it I think (personal opinion folks - America and the 1st amendment are great) that the person to whom you refer should turn off his computer and go hide in a corner if a mere newsgroup post makes him break out in hives.
