1996-05-04 00:00:00 - 49ers Jets Super Bowl - (Douglas Fowler <dougfowler@delphi.com>)

I'm rather curious, and have a best friend who's a football fanatic who is likely dying to know, but... Where we see the newspaper article in PTSS, and it mentions the 49ers beating the Jets in the Super Bowl, was that just a mock-up of the orginal SF headline, with Dolphins airbrushed out and Jets inserted everywhere? Could someone with a VCR and stop button see if they gave a score or not? My friend Sander and I are going to have as much fun debating how realistic the Jets being in the Super Bowl in '84 is as we are debating discussing how good that show was and debating which Arturo slid. (Actually, I'll argue if Marino had been with the Jets, since the AFC had a down year and the Jets were 9-7 as they were, they could have made the Super Bowl. He will say otherwise. I know it.) I loved the look on Quinn's face when he saw that newspaper. It shows how many little changes can exist in a world.
