The episode was ok though, but not good. Maybe the monster is on a low-cholesterol diet? On a related topic, when Quinn finds Arturo in the cave at the end, he says: "Max!" - I don't recall any of the Sliders refer to him as Max but as the Professor. Was this a new trend or did I just miss the other times? Paul

That monster would have eaten that fat slob in a second. I would be like a big fat turkey on Thanksgiving for it. Well maybe it was saving him for a speical monster holiday. The episode was ok though, but not good.

As I couldn't remember which episode is supposed to be the last for Rhyes-Davies, I really thought the old professor had well, er, eaten it. Then I thought, what an ignominious end to this character. At least have him go out in a blaze of glory, not as a McDonald's Happy Meal for a giant slug. Since the professor was intended to survive this episode, however, I thought it would have been more fun to have a giant belching noise come up out of the ground, then have the professor shoot up out of the sand and into the air, exclaiming "what's the matter, are you on a low cholesterol diet you blasted overgrown earthworm!"

He returns to the ship to "turn himself in" and discovers Kirk is still alive. In the one rare show of emotion, (rare because it worked) he exclaims "Jim!", and then reverts to his former emotionless selve. (sorry for the run-on sentence....) Anyway, I figured it's the same drill here. Quinn is so overcome with Joy he forgets himself and let's his "true" emotions for the Professor show through. Greg Wilson's Second Law e raised to the infinity is greater than 4
