Maggie might be able to breath in the other Sliders dimension. At the end of "The Wizard" episode, we find out that Mrs. Mallory had someone oil the front gate. It didn't squeak when Quinn opened it. In the first part of the two-parter where Arturo died, Maggie and Quinn went to a world they thought was his, but the gate squeaked. Maggie couldn't breathe here. If this is where Wade and Rembrandt went, they aren't home yet.

The "someone" in question came up with the oiling idea himself- she didn't tell him to do it. Not that it matters.. 2. By adding the bit on the "Maggie-Can't-Breath" world about the necklace that Mrs. Mallory was wearing, it's fairly clear that the producers were trying to say, in their own ham-fisted way, that yes, this *was* Earth Prime. Gates can start squeaking again after they've been oiled. 3. It doesn't really matter if it is or isn't, because by the end of the season premiere, I imagine that both Rembrandt and Wade will be back w/ Quinn and Maggie. Robert M.
