There *is* an alt.tv.sliders.creative group already. The trouble is that hardly anybody gets it and nobody posts there. There's a Website that accepts stories and has a lot more material, but I don't remember the URL at the moment. Coot > > > - Monkey Man - > - jabrown@axionet.com -

All I see when I go in is "make.money.fast" crud and other off-topic stuff. The page below is the only place I've ever found any actual stories. Thanks for the URL. It's called alt.tv.sliders.creative. Although there's not much traffic, since sliders fanfic hasn't really gotten off the ground, but the group has been in use since last year, and has quite a few good stories. Check it out. :-)

This is combined with the fact that most (all?) of those six authors are in college, and are busy with finals and things. Should pick up during the summer. If this sounds like a hint for more people to start writing, then you are right on the money. If you don't get the newsgroup, you can upload stories directly into the archive at: http://gossamer.eng.ohio-state.edu/sliders ftp://gossamer.eng.ohio-state.edu/pub/archive/sliders/stories Just let people here know you've done it. You can also download stories, of course. There are some really good ones in there, although most of them are unfinished. A partial list of finished stories to get you started, off the top of my head: "Monsters and Angels" "Q is for Quetzal" "The Vast Wasteland" "Scream" "Weightless" "2359" "Reverse Psychology" "Meanwhile" "And the Light Shineth" "Reversal of Fortune" "Quantum Slide" As I said, this is only a partial list. There are also some pretty good unfinished stories which I'm dying to see the end of. There's even one called "Further Afield," written by James Boe <g> which was about the Sliders entering a world of dinosaurs. Hey, Joe, now that they did "In Dino Veritas," are you ever gonna finish the story? I hope so. No reason they couldn't have slid to two dinosaur worlds, and you solved the human problem better. I should also mention that a mailing list exists where you can get the newest stories directly to your mailbox. The email address is on the website, but I wouldn't recommend it right now, since it seems to be having technical problems. Enjoy. :-)
