Has the piling of Borg bodyparts, seen in the EP where Species 8472 was introduced ("Scorpion") ever been used for anything, or otherwise explained? -- "It's the best $50 bucks I ever spent. I would have paid five times that for what your new you packet allowed me to do!!!" -- K. Waterbury, CA Martin A. Boegelund. Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Explanation: It's part of a recommendation found in some spam mail I received. The spam was promoting something called the "New You" package, which would enable you to get a new identity, thus restoring your ability to make loans, obtain credits, apply for credit-cards etc. if your credit history was... less fortunate. I just thought that when people quote someone in their sig, it is because they want to be associated with that persons greatness in some way. I don't want to rub off some of the mana that is connected to a great persons great statements. I usually want to find "my own truths." K. Waterbury is a non-person, an anonymous someone, whose name is forgotten after you've deleted the spam, he/she probably doesn't exist and/or has never written the statement about the "New You" packet. This totally indifferent "New You" statement is forgotten in this endless stream of information we call the Internet, as are my statements in Usenet. That's what I'm trying to say by using this sig quote; for a brief moment my statement might matter to someone somewhere, but most likely it will be erased from the readers memory, and vanish into non-existence, just taking up a few bytes of diskspace somewhere, but never to be read again. Deep, Huh? PS Notice that I've changed my sig a bit, in order to reflect that "New You" is a product. -- "It's the best $50 bucks I ever spent.
