No. The Enterprise crew split when the Vulcans showed up. I was referring to the Borg knowledge of humanity's first contact. They could have assimilated some historians or just people who knew about it. That's why the Borg might have undertaken the plan. -- Marcin Jastrzebski darvin@megsinet.net http://www.megsinet.net/darvin "Quantum Torpedoes" <longj002@hawaii.rr.com> wrote in message news:bwf75.15130$aB6.76373@typhoon.hawaii.rr.com... > Yes, but if that was the case, the Federation would have known about the > Borg invasion from the beginning. Yes, but if that was the case, the Federation would have known about the Borg invasion from the beginning. Cochrane, as far as I can tell in the movie, didn't know anything about the Borg. He didnt' even know who was shooting at him at the beginning of the movie. -FIRE Torpedoes! In the episode "Timeless" Chakotay and Kim use a Borg device I believe that was called a temporal transmitter to contact Seven fifteen years in the past. Mybe the present Borg use a temporal transmitter to stay in contact with the Queen and those Borg who went into the past. That way Seven as a drone at that time would have known what had happen. Those Borg would still be alive in the timeline until that date they went into the past. They were born in the future, died in the past, and would be born again in the future. Bexar

If I remember correctly...that episode was based on the future Borg and not the present. Therefore, we can assume that the Borg do not have such a device as of now. Yes but the chick who went up on the ship knew about it though, and we have no idea about what she would have told people. No....while you weren't looking, Picard told her he'd shove her out that airlock if she didn't keep her mouth shut. :) -FIRE Torpedoes! 2000-07-01 00:00:00 - Year of Hell/ First Contact Question - (usa1247@aol.com)

Ok in "Year of Hell" 7 of 9 states that the Borg were present at humanity's first contact. But how can she know that? The Borg on that mission weren't in contact with the collective and none escaped destruction. I also doubt the interplexing beacon got the message to the collective. Was it the Borg who weren't killed and were in space? Also would the Borg killed on that mission be dead in the present- Ent E timeline? Anyone know anything about this?

2000-07-01 00:00:00 - Re: Year of Hell/ First Contact Question - (Quantum Torpedoes <longj002@hawaii.rr.com>)

Maybe since the Borg Queen was going on the mission and died, it was common knowledge among the Borg.....but what ISN'T common knowledge to the Borg? -FIRE Torpedoes!
