Owner of a Bag is a creature known in many different cultures across Native America. It is called the Bogey among the Arapho people, the Indacinga of the Ponca people, the Apotamkin of the Masileet people and the Hagondes of the Seneca Americans. The general interpretation of 'Owner-of-Bag' is a giant owl that carries a large bag, which it would use to steal children away and bring it to its lair. 


 Explanation? 
Stories of this creature were often used to scare misbehaving children into acting better. Still, tales of children being abducted by huge birds or winged animals have continued to circulate over time, so it is not uncommon if an incident inspired the beliefs.
