Upland trout

The upland trout was a Fearsome Critters|fearsome critter from North American folklore. These very adroit fish built their nests in trees and were very difficult to take. 

They flew well but never entered the water. They were fine pan fish. Tenderfeet were sent out into the woods to catch them.
