Aries was a young man from M7G-677 who, in 2004, was the second oldest among the people at age 24.

Biography
2004
He was distrustful of Major John Sheppard's Atlantis Reconnaissance 1|team and became angry when Keras did not tell them to leave, believing it would bring the Wraith and they would be culled. He planned to have Keras removed from position of village elder and have Sheppard's team forcibly removed from their planet. When a Wraith probe arrived, Aries attempted to have Sheppard killed but injured Keras when he stepped in front of the shot instead. As the team tried to convince Aries and his men to stand down, threatening to use their FN P90 Personal Defense Weapons against them if necessary, Aries was undaunted. Before the situation could turn into a firefight, Neleus arrived and informed Aries that the team had been telling the truth about the electromagnetic field generator protecting their people.
