Commendation medal

Commendation medal are a mid-level USA military decoration presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service. In 1997, Captain Samantha Carter and Dr. Janet Fraiser both received a recommendation medal after successfully stopping Hathor, who was attempting to create multiple Goa'uld so that she could eventually conquer Earth. {{cite|SG1|Hathor}}
