Jupiter is the fifth and largest planet in the Solar system and is a gas giant. Major Samantha Carter and Major Paul Davis at Stargate Command - with Colonel Jack O'Neill and Teal'c trapped on the X-301 Interceptor - collaborated on a plan for the X-301 to use a Slingshot maneuver around Jupiter with its AIM 120A air-to-air missiles using the planet's own gravity. {{Cite|SG1|Tangent}}
