Sam was the name given to a male Flagisallus&mdash;named by Dr. Meredith Rodney McKay|Rodney McKay after Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter&mdash;who located Rodney when he was trapped underwater in a Puddle Jumper, an act which led the Lt.
