This unnamed star was used by Destiny to replenish its power supplies after they were depleted. Much like the last time Destiny ran out of energy, it auto-plotted a course into this star to collect solar energy. The difference, this time, is that the Destiny expedition intentionally depleted the power reserves by firing the ship's Destiny pulse weapon|energy weapons. The plan, enacted by Colonel David Telford and a team of scientists from Homeworld Command, was to attempt to dial Earth while inside the star, by directing the collected energy directly into the Stargate. However, fearing catastrophic failure, Dr. Nicholas Rush, with help from Adam Brody, simulated an unstoppable power overload, fooling Telford and his team into abandoning ship. Rush revealed his ruse to the rest of the crew and Destiny replenished its supplies without issue. {{cite|SGU|Earth}}
